Parichat Tanapiwattanakul is a Bangkok and Ratchaburi-based artist, curator, and cultural practitioner whose interdisciplinary practice explores the intersections of food, memory, and community. She uses collaborative methods to uncover overlooked cultural narratives, treating food as both a living archive and a political medium. Parichat holds a BFA in Painting from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand (2016), and an MFA from Wimbledon College of Arts, University of the Arts London, UK (2020). Currently, she is a member of Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture, Yoonglai Collective and Pickle Collective.

Her methodologies, field research, oral histories, collective cooking, workshops, and storytelling transform everyday practices into sites of dialogue, engaging histories from below. As a member of Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture (TH) and Yoonglai Collective (TH), she demonstrates an ability to connect with diverse communities, whether fisherfolk in the Philippines, dairy farmers in Ratchaburi, or diasporic groups in Vietnam and the UK. Taste is central to her explorations; beyond flavour, it becomes a vessel for cultural identity. Her framework: Aroma + Taste = Flavour + Memory + Emotion + Experience, demonstrates how personal and collective identities are shaped with cooking functions as method and metaphor. These processes invite participants to inhabit their own sensory and cultural memories, generating collective experiences that challenge singular or linear narratives of history.

Her artist residencies include AIR Asia; Green Papaya Art Project, Panay Island (2023); ba-bau AIR, Hoa Binh (2024); and Pattani Artspace, Thailand (2024). She has co-curated exhibitions at Centrala, Birmingham (UK, 2024), and the Fourth Baan Noorg Biennial, Ratchaburi (Thailand, 2024). Selected exhibitions and projects include MAP 2024 (Heritage Art Space, Hanoi, Vietnam), Kenduri Seni Patani (TH, 2024), This Page Is Intentionally Left ___ (Bangkok Kunsthalle, Thailand, 2025), What Remain Is Eaten (Wonderfruit, Thailand, 2025), and The Vanished Gods (Pocheon, South Korea, 2025). Parichat is a selected artist for Early Years Project: Young Artists #9 (BACC, Thailand, 2026), with an upcoming exhibition at MMAD, MunMun Srinakarin, in 2027.
